4 of 5 Reduced Activation Delays May 3, 2026
Reviewer: Maya Lawson, Facility Manager from Lexington, KY
We installed 17 automatic commercial sensor faucets throughout healthcare and municipal restroom retrofit projects between 2022 and 2025, and by 2026 the operational consistency has remained considerably stronger than earlier touchless systems previously maintained in the same high-use environments. Older sensor faucets repeatedly developed delayed activation timing, unstable infrared calibration near reflective surfaces, and premature internal valve wear during continuous public operation, whereas this faucet maintained highly dependable motion detection with balanced water delivery throughout heavy daily usage. Previous commercial units also required repeated maintenance visits because of inconsistent shutoff response and fluctuating water-flow behavior under varying inlet-pressure conditions, while this system maintained noticeably stronger sensor stability with fewer servicing interruptions overall. Maintenance staff initially performed minor calibration refinements on several deeper sink configurations, but once standardized the valve regulation, infrared timing consistency, and long-term operational reliability remained highly uniform across all installed facilities.
