Technical FAQs

Commercial touchless faucet with solid brass construction, adaptive infrared sensing, AC/DC power, adjustable detection, serviceable filtration and anti-vandal automatic shutoff.

✥ How Does the Sensor Self-Adjustment Work? +
The microcomputer-controlled infrared system automatically adjusts its detection behavior according to the color and shape of the installed lavatory. Final commissioning should be completed after the basin, countertop and surrounding surfaces are fully installed.
◇ What Is the Factory Detection Zone? +
The factory detection zone is approximately 25 cm or 10 inches based on the standard inductive board. The operating sensing field can also be adjusted during commissioning to suit basin depth, user approach and surrounding reflective conditions.
◯ What Water Pressure Is Supported? +
The commercial specification lists approximately 0.05 to 0.7 MPa and 10 to 125 PSI operating pressure. Flush the supply lines before final connection and verify stable dynamic pressure before commissioning the electronic valve.
↻ How Does the Automatic Shutoff Operate? +
The faucet is factory configured with an approximately 30-second automatic shutoff that can be adjusted where required. The system also incorporates a 60-second anti-vandal maximum running time to limit prolonged unattended water discharge.
⌁ How Fast Does the Sensor Respond? +
The active infrared control provides approximately 0.3-second response after valid hand detection. The specified shutoff delay is approximately 2 seconds after the user exits the sensing field, helping balance responsive operation and water efficiency.
⌂ How Is the Solenoid Protected From Debris? +
A built-in serviceable strainer prevents sediment and foreign material from entering the solenoid valve. During scheduled maintenance, isolate the supply, clean the strainer and confirm unrestricted flow before restoring the faucet to service.
⚡ Which Power Configurations Are Supported? +
The faucet supports AC110V and DC6V operation, allowing hardwired or battery-powered installation depending on the supplied configuration. Verify the specified power components before connecting and commissioning the sensor control system.
⌕ What Should Routine Maintenance Include? +
Clean the sensor window and aerator, inspect the built-in strainer, verify battery or AC power condition and confirm reliable solenoid shutoff. The electronic enclosure is specified with IP56 protection for commercial installation conditions.

3 of 5 Routine Interruptions Removed Sunday, July 5, 2026
Reviewer: Logan Montgomery, Analyst from Rochester, MN
Employee washrooms in our distribution facility remain busy throughout every shift, making dependable operation essential. Since replacing the previous fixtures, routine interruptions have disappeared, giving maintenance technicians more time for preventive work instead of reactive repairs.

of 5 Durability Comes First Wednesday, June 3, 2026
Reviewer: Thomas Ellwood from Manhattan, KS
High-traffic suitability depends on much more than touch-free activation, and this dark-finish commercial model addresses several of the less visible requirements well. BathSelect lists a vandal-resistant brass body, intelligent self-adjusting sensing, diagnostic indicators, a cleanable strainer, AC/DC power, adjustable shutoff, and water-resistant solenoid protection. Matte or dark surfaces naturally reveal mineral residue more quickly, making routine cleaning important. That modest maintenance burden is outweighed by a design clearly oriented toward troubleshooting, component protection, and sustained operation rather than appearance alone.

4 of 5 No delayed shutoff Wednesday, April 29, 2026
Reviewer: Victoria Harper, Design Consultant from Seattle, WA
Following several executive office restroom retrofits where matte-black sensor faucets repeatedly developed finish fading and unstable infrared responsiveness, we upgraded multiple facilities to the Marsala Black Faucet between 2021 and 2024.The faucet maintained highly accurate activation throughout continuous commercial usage, while the matte-black finish resisted cleaning-related wear and moisture exposure significantly better than previous designer fixtures. Water delivery also remained balanced without excessive splashback around shallow basin installations. From a technical perspective, the sensing module retained highly stable calibration near reflective countertops and bright ambient lighting environments where earlier matte-black faucets frequently produced false triggering or delayed shutoff timing.
