✥ Sensor Calibration Procedure? +
Complete sensor commissioning after the basin, countertop and surrounding surfaces are installed. The factory sensing position is approximately 4 to 5 inches and may be adjusted to suit the final lavatory geometry.
◇ Hydraulic Checks During Installation? +
Flush the supply piping before final connection, confirm the 1/2-inch NPT inlet is secure and inspect the built-in strainer and 50-mesh particle filtration for debris before commissioning the valve assembly.
◯ Flow Rate Verification? +
The standard mesh aerator is specified at approximately 2.2 GPM. If output becomes restricted, inspect the aerator, filtration system, inlet pressure and supply connections.
↻ Continuous Water Flow Diagnostics? +
Clean the infrared sensing area, remove reflective objects from the detection field and inspect the 6-volt magnet-latching solenoid for debris or incomplete seating. Maximum continuous operation is approximately 60 seconds.
⌁ Sensor Detection Range? +
The active infrared sensor uses digital microprocessor control with an adjustable sensing range of approximately 2 to 6 inches. The factory reference is also listed at approximately 25 cm under standard inductive-board conditions.

Across several healthcare and airport restroom modernization projects completed between 2022 and 2024, previous brushed nickel faucets repeatedly suffered from unstable shutoff timing and inconsistent sensor responsiveness under continuous public usage. The Marsala Nickel Faucet provided a far more stable long-term operating profile after installation. Its infrared sensing system maintained highly accurate activation during rapid repeated operation, while the brushed nickel finish resisted corrosion and maintenance-related surface wear substantially better than earlier decorative fixtures. Water delivery also remained smooth and balanced without irregular stream interruption. A technical advantage became especially apparent during maintenance inspections: the internal valve assembly maintained highly predictable flow regulation despite fluctuations in inlet pressure and basin depth configurations, improving consistency across multiple installations.
