COMMERCIAL SENSOR + MANUAL SOAP LINE

BathSelect Sensor™
Technical FAQs

Commercial touchless faucet with manual soap dispenser, solid brass construction, adaptive infrared sensing, AC/DC power and serviceable electronic valve filtration.

✥ How Does the Sensor Self-Calibration Work? +
The microcomputer-controlled infrared system evaluates the color and shape of the installed lavatory and automatically adjusts its optimum detection behavior. Complete final commissioning after the basin, countertop and surrounding reflective surfaces are installed.
◇ What Is the Factory Detection Zone? +
The factory detection zone is approximately 25 cm or 10 inches based on the standard inductive board. BathSelect also specifies an adjustable normal sensing position around 4 to 5 inches from the sensor for final field commissioning.
◯ What Is the Rated Flow Performance? +
The standard aerator is rated at approximately 2.2 GPM. If discharge becomes restricted, verify dynamic supply pressure, inspect the aerator and clean the built-in filtration before changing the sensor or solenoid settings.
↻ How Does the Automatic Shutoff Operate? +
The faucet is factory configured with an approximately 30-second automatic shutoff that can be adjusted. Extended electronic control also limits continuous operation to approximately 60 seconds to reduce unattended or vandal-related water discharge.
⌁ How Does the Manual Soap Dispenser Work? +
The coordinated soap dispenser is mechanically operated and does not depend on electronic sensing. This provides predictable soap delivery even during battery replacement, power interruption or sensor servicing while maintaining a coordinated commercial wash-station layout.
⌂ How Is the Solenoid Protected From Debris? +
A built-in serviceable strainer and approximately 50-mesh particle filtration help prevent debris from entering the solenoid valve. During scheduled service, isolate the supply, clean the filtration components and confirm unrestricted flow before restarting.
⚡ Which Power Configurations Are Supported? +
The faucet supports AC110V and DC6V configurations, including four-AA battery operation or AC-powered installation depending on the supplied package. Confirm controller, transformer and battery arrangement before final electrical commissioning.
⌕ What Should Preventive Maintenance Include? +
Clean the infrared sensor window and aerator, inspect the inlet strainer, verify electrical power and confirm reliable solenoid shutoff. Also inspect and clean the manual soap-dispenser pump and reservoir components during scheduled commercial maintenance.

of 5 Reliability Beats Novelty Saturday, June 20, 2026
Reviewer: Dean Rutherford from Columbus, OH
What matters after several thousand activations is consistent behavior, not how impressive the sensor sounds in a specification sheet. This commercial model should be commissioned so detection feels immediate without nuisance triggering, while shutoff remains predictable after users withdraw their hands. Equally important are clean supply lines and accessible electronic and valve components. Those basic engineering details directly affect service life. For busy public washrooms, the straightforward automatic format makes a convincing case when dependable daily operation takes priority over unnecessary electronic complexity.
