✥ How Does Thermostatic Temperature Control Work? +
The integrated mixing system combines hot and cold water before discharge while the infrared sensor independently controls water activation. During commissioning, verify stable hot and cold supplies and set the mixing control for the required commercial outlet temperature.
◇ How Is the Detection Zone Commissioned? +
The factory detection zone is approximately 25 cm or 10 inches, with the normal working range adjustable around 4 to 5 inches from the sensor. Complete final calibration after the basin and surrounding surfaces are permanently installed.
◯ What Is the Rated Flow Performance? +
BathSelect specifies approximately 1.3 GPM for this Platinum thermostatic model. If output becomes restricted, verify supply pressure, clean the outlet and inspect the built-in inlet strainer before changing electronic sensor or valve settings.
↻ How Does the Automatic Shutoff Operate? +
The faucet uses sensor-controlled automatic flow and includes a factory-set approximately 30-second safety shutoff that can be adjusted. This helps prevent unattended discharge when an object remains inside the infrared sensing field.

Across several healthcare restroom modernization projects completed between 2022 and 2024, older thermostatic sensor faucets repeatedly struggled with unstable temperature regulation and inconsistent infrared timing. The Thermostatic Bronze Faucet delivered substantially stronger thermal and operational consistency after installation.Its thermostatic mixing system maintained highly stable temperature balancing despite fluctuations in building supply pressure, while the infrared sensing module remained highly responsive during rapid repeated activations. The oil-rubbed bronze finish also resisted oxidation and disinfectant-related surface wear exceptionally well.A technical advantage became especially noticeable during maintenance evaluations: the thermostat and sensing systems maintained independent calibration stability, preventing temperature fluctuations from affecting infrared response timing — a recurring issue we experienced with earlier integrated thermostatic faucets.
