Lano Commercial™
Technical FAQs

Commercial solid-brass touchless faucet with active infrared sensing, AC/DC power, adjustable detection and electronic valve control.

✥ Sensor Commissioning Procedure? +
Complete sensor commissioning after the basin, countertop and surrounding reflective surfaces are installed. Verify reliable activation across the intended hand-detection field and adjust the sensing distance where required.
◇ Sensor Detection Range? +
The active infrared sensor uses a digital microprocessor with an approximately 2 to 6 inch sensing range. Final detection distance should be confirmed after the faucet and basin are fully installed.
◯ Sensor Response Timing? +
The Lano specification lists an approximately 0.3-second response time with a 2-second shutoff delay, supporting rapid activation while reducing unnecessary post-use water flow.
↻ Maximum Automatic Run Time? +
An anti-vandal maximum operating period of approximately 60 seconds limits continuous unattended flow if an object remains within the infrared sensing field.
⌁ Power Supply Configuration? +
The electronic valve system can operate from four AA alkaline batteries or an AC adapter, allowing battery-powered or hardwired commercial installation.
⌂ Supply Connection Size? +
The commercial specification identifies a 1/2-inch NPT male supply inlet. Flush supply piping before connection and verify all fittings for secure, leak-free installation.
⚡ Standard Flow Configuration? +
The faucet is specified with a 2.2 GPM standard mesh aerator. If flow becomes restricted, inspect the aerator, inlet filtration and available dynamic water pressure.
⌕ Routine Maintenance Requirements? +
Periodically clean the sensor window and aerator, inspect the particle filter and inlet connections, and verify complete electronic valve closure during scheduled maintenance.

5 of 5 Sensor Stability Saturday, May 2, 2026
Reviewer: Harrison Doyle, Infrastructure Consultant from Denver, CO
Following several healthcare restroom modernization projects completed between 2022 and 2024, we installed 15 units of the Lano Bronze Faucet after earlier bronze fixtures repeatedly developed oxidation issues and unstable infrared timing. As of 2026, the faucets continue to perform consistently with minimal maintenance intervention. The oil-rubbed bronze finish maintained excellent resistance against moisture exposure and disinfectant-cleaning products, while sensor responsiveness remained highly dependable during repeated high-cycle usage. Water delivery also stayed balanced without irregular shutoff behavior. From a technical operations standpoint, calibration stability and valve response timing remained highly uniform across installations operating under varying inlet-pressure conditions. No recurring electronic failures have been reported since commissioning
