Technical FAQs

Commercial deck-mounted infrared faucet with solid brass construction, Matte Black finish, self-adjusting sensor control, dual-mode power, and solenoid-regulated flow.

✥ How Should the Infrared Sensor Be Commissioned? +
Complete sensor commissioning after the faucet, basin and countertop are fully installed. The Lyon platform uses self-adjusting infrared detection, while detection length can also be configured to coordinate activation with the final basin geometry.
◇ How Is Water Flow Automatically Controlled? +
Water flows while hands remain within the infrared detection area. The sensor signals the brass solenoid valve electronically, eliminating mechanical handle operation and allowing controlled touch-free opening and closure during each use cycle.
◯ What Flow Limitation Is Specified? +
The matching B5136 technical documentation specifies a standard 5 L/min flow limiter, with a lower 1.9 L/min configuration available in certain applications. Verify the specified flow configuration before final project commissioning.
↻ How Does the Automatic Shutoff Function Work? +
The faucet is preset with an approximately 30-second automatic shutoff safeguard. This limits unattended water discharge if the sensing field remains continuously occupied and helps reduce the risk of unnecessary water use.
⌁ Can Sensor Parameters Be Adjusted? +
The B5136 sensor platform supports configurable operating parameters including detection length, flow duration and temporary stop functions. This allows final commissioning to be adapted to site-specific lavatory conditions.
⌂ What Water Pressure Range Is Supported? +
BathSelect lists approximately 10 to 125 PSI for the product page configuration. The matching technical documentation specifies approximately 0.5 to 8.0 bar operating pressure. Maintain stable dynamic pressure during commissioning.
⚡ What Power Configurations Are Available? +
The faucet supports dual-mode electrical operation. BathSelect specifies DC6V and AC220V configurations, while related B5136 technical documentation also supports transformer or alkaline battery operation depending on the supplied control system.
⌕ What Routine Maintenance Points Require Inspection? +
Periodically clean the infrared sensor window, inspect the built-in filter screen for debris, verify secure supply and power connections, and confirm that the brass solenoid valve opens and closes reliably during scheduled servicing.

5 of 5 Contemporary Sensor Control Wednesday, April 15, 2026
Reviewer: Cameron Ellis, Systems Specialist from Charlotte, NC
Following several large office restroom modernization projects where earlier sensor faucets suffered from erratic shutoff timing and unreliable sensor calibration, we installed the Lyon Faucet across multiple commercial facilities between 2021 and 2024.The faucet maintained highly dependable performance during continuous high-cycle usage. Its infrared sensing system provided accurate activation with very few false triggers, while the brass valve assembly handled long-term operation far more effectively than previous commercial fixtures.A technical improvement we noticed was the consistency of the detection range across multiple sink configurations, which simplified installation planning and reduced calibration adjustments after deployment.
