CONTEMPORARY WATERFALL SENSOR LINE

Contemporary Waterfall™
Technical FAQs

Commercial solid-brass waterfall sensor faucet with adjustable infrared detection, AC/DC power and controlled 1.8 GPM touchless flow.

✥ Sensor Commissioning Procedure? +
Commission the infrared sensor after the faucet, basin and surrounding reflective surfaces are installed. The detection distance is adjustable from approximately 12–18 cm to suit different basin geometries and installation conditions.
◇ Operating Water Pressure? +
The sensor faucet is specified for approximately 0.05–0.8 MPa water pressure. Flush the supply line before final connection and verify stable dynamic pressure during operation.
◯ Waterfall Flow Rate? +
The Contemporary Waterfall faucet is specified at approximately 1.8 GPM / 6.81 L/min. The broad outlet distributes water across the spout edge to create a controlled waterfall-style discharge.
↻ Automatic Shutoff Control? +
The electronic faucet provides water only while the sensing zone is occupied and incorporates an approximately 30-second preset safety shutoff to limit continuous unattended flow.
⌁ Adjustable Sensor Range? +
The infrared detection field can be adjusted from approximately 12 to 18 cm. Final calibration should account for basin depth, surface reflectivity and the intended handwashing position.
⌂ Commercial Valve Service Life? +
The product documentation specifies a life test of approximately 500,000 operating cycles. Periodic inspection of the valve, waterway and supply filtration helps maintain consistent commercial performance.
⚡ Power Supply Options? +
The sensor system supports DC 6V operation using four AA alkaline batteries or AC power. The dual-power configuration supports both retrofit and permanently powered installations.
⌕ Routine Maintenance Requirements? +
Periodically clean the infrared sensor window and waterfall outlet, inspect G1/2" supply connections, verify battery condition and confirm complete valve shutoff during scheduled commercial maintenance.

4 of 5 Delays Couldn't Diminish Saturday, July 25, 2026
Reviewer: Marcus Ellington from San Diego, CA
Reaching a real person about my order wasn't easy, and a voicemail I left didn't receive the callback I expected. Eventually the issue was clarified, but it required more effort than it should have. The contemporary automatic waterfall faucet gave the purchase a stronger finish. Its sensor operation works naturally for a commercial environment, while the waterfall form adds a more design-conscious appearance.

5 of 5 Sensor Stability Wednesday, April 29, 2026
Reviewer: Rebecca Monroe, Design Consultant from Miami, FL
Unlike earlier decorative waterfall faucets that frequently developed uneven stream dispersion and splashback issues, the Contemporary Waterfall Faucet delivered substantially stronger long-term consistency after installation across hospitality properties between 2021 and 2024. As of 2026, operational reliability remains highly stable. The waterfall flow pattern remained smooth and evenly distributed during continuous guest usage, while the contemporary finish maintained strong resistance against spotting and cleaning-related wear. Infrared responsiveness also stayed highly dependable without irregular activation timing. From a technical operations standpoint, flow-channel regulation and sensor calibration remained highly uniform between installations with varying basin configurations. No recurring electronic or structural failures have been observed.
