Gun Metal Edition is arguably the most architectural Monarch Forge finish because it provides the depth of a dark faucet without the absolute contrast of matte black. That makes it easier to integrate with charcoal stone, smoked glass, concrete-inspired surfaces, and stainless architectural details. BathSelect identifies Gun Metal Edition as its own Monarch Forge variant within the collection's extensive finish family. BathSelect I particularly like the relationship between gunmetal and the faceted crystal control: one material absorbs and softens light while the other catches it, creating interest without relying on bright color. The collection's single-hole format also keeps installation visually disciplined. For contemporary projects that need something stronger than nickel but less severe than black, gunmetal occupies a very useful middle position.

Technical Campus Fit

Gun Metal gave Monarch Forge the right level of industrial character for our semiconductor company's new training campus. Standard chrome appeared too generic beside the darker architectural metals, while pure black created more contrast than the design team wanted. This finish occupies a useful middle ground and reinforces the technical character of the building without making the washrooms feel severe. Employees, visiting engineers, and training groups all share the facilities, so broad visual acceptance mattered. Post-occupancy review supported keeping the specification for the campus's next planned building.
