COMMERCIAL INFRARED SENSOR LINE

Commercial Infrared™
Technical FAQs

Commercial infrared touchless faucet with solid brass construction, adjustable sensing, 2.2 GPM flow, electronic solenoid control, and AC or battery operation.

✥ Sensor Calibration Procedure? +
Complete sensor commissioning after the sink, countertop and surrounding accessories are installed. The digital microprocessor automatically adapts its detection field, while the sensing range can be adjusted approximately 2 to 6 inches where required.
◇ Hydraulic Checks During Installation? +
Flush the supply line before final connection, confirm the 1/2-inch NPT inlet is secure, inspect the built-in strainer for debris, and verify stable water pressure before commissioning the solenoid valve and infrared control.
◯ Flow Rate Verification? +
Verify approximately 2.2 GPM through the standard mesh aerator under normal operating conditions. If discharge is restricted, inspect the aerator, built-in filtration, inlet connection and available dynamic water pressure.
↻ Continuous Water Flow Diagnostics? +
Clean the infrared sensor window, remove reflective interference from the sensing zone, verify reliable power, and inspect the 6-volt latching solenoid for debris or incomplete seating. Maximum continuous operation is limited to approximately 60 seconds.
⌁ Sensor Detection Range? +
The active infrared neck-mounted sensor operates with an adjustable detection range of approximately 2 to 6 inches. Factory sensing is typically set around 4 to 5 inches and may be fine-tuned during commissioning.
⌂ Operating Water Pressure? +
The product specification lists a working pressure range of approximately 1 to 100 PSI. Maintain stable dynamic pressure and keep the inlet strainer clean to preserve consistent activation and water delivery.
⚡ Power Supply Options? +
The infrared control can operate from four AA alkaline batteries or an AC adapter. The electronic assembly uses a 6-volt magnet-latching solenoid, with low-battery indication provided for scheduled maintenance.
⌕ Routine Maintenance Requirements? +
Periodically clean the sensor window and mesh aerator, service the built-in strainer, inspect battery condition and electrical connections, and confirm the solenoid closes completely after the approximately two-second shutoff delay.

of 5 Performance Before Glamour Saturday, June 20, 2026
Reviewer: Ethan Caldwell from Ryan Mitchell
Gold attracts attention, but the engineering behind this commercial faucet is considerably more important. The vandal-resistant brass body incorporates automatic sensing, an accessible strainer, low-battery diagnostics, adjustable detection, G1/2-inch supply connection, and a 0.05–0.8 MPa operating-pressure range. A 60-second continuous-use cutoff provides another sensible safeguard for public installations. The finish requires appropriate maintenance, yet the underlying serviceability is what makes this model convincing for hotels, offices, restaurants, and other high-traffic facilities rather than simply a decorative sensor faucet.

4 of 5 Infrared Stability Sunday, May 3, 2026
Reviewer: Cameron Reeves, Operations Consultant from Columbus, OH
Following multiple transportation hub restroom upgrades where previous infrared faucets repeatedly developed unstable activation timing and premature electronic wear, we upgraded several facilities to the Infrared Gold Faucet between 2021 and 2024.The faucet maintained highly accurate infrared responsiveness throughout continuous public usage, while the gold finish resisted spotting and maintenance-related surface degradation exceptionally well. Water delivery also remained stable during rapid repeated activation cycles without irregular shutoff behavior.A technical advantage became particularly noticeable during maintenance inspections: the infrared module retained highly stable calibration under fluctuating restroom lighting conditions and changing water pressure environments, reducing servicing frequency across installations.
