Technical FAQs

Commercial infrared touchless faucet with solid brass construction, deck-mount installation, electronic control and two coordinated finishes.

✥ Sensor Calibration Procedure? +
Complete sensor commissioning after the basin, countertop and surrounding surfaces are installed. Verify reliable hand detection throughout the intended sensing field and adjust the detection zone where required.
◇ Hydraulic Checks During Installation? +
Flush the supply line before final connection, confirm secure inlet connections and inspect the water path for debris before commissioning the electronic valve and infrared control system.
◯ Flow Rate Verification? +
Verify stable discharge under normal dynamic operating conditions. If water output becomes restricted, inspect the outlet aerator, inlet path and available supply pressure.
↻ Continuous Water Flow Diagnostics? +
Clean the infrared sensing area, remove reflective objects from the detection field and inspect the electronic valve for debris or incomplete seating before servicing the controller.
⌁ Sensor Detection Range? +
Commission the infrared sensing field after final installation so hand detection remains consistent without unintended activation from nearby basin edges or reflective countertop surfaces.
⌂ Commercial Installation Requirements? +
The Rio is configured as a single-hole deck-mount commercial faucet with solid brass body and spout construction. Confirm basin drilling, mounting stability and service access before installation.
⚡ Electronic Control Requirements? +
Verify the specified electronic power arrangement and control connections before commissioning. Maintain accessible service clearance around the sensor and valve components for future maintenance.
⌕ Routine Maintenance Requirements? +
Periodically clean the infrared sensor and aerator, inspect supply connections, remove mineral buildup and verify reliable electronic valve activation and complete automatic shutoff.

of 5 Chrome Still Wins Wednesday, June 3, 2026
Reviewer: Claudia Merriweather from South Bend, IN
Chrome may not be the most exciting finish in the collection, but for a busy commercial restroom it remains difficult to argue against. Replacement accessories are easy to coordinate, housekeeping already understands the surface, and the fixture does not dictate the surrounding design. The related B5136 platform also uses solid-brass construction, adjustable sensing, built-in filtration, waterproof components, and commercial-oriented sensor controls. Water spots will obviously show on polished chrome, but that familiar maintenance requirement seems minor compared with the versatility this configuration provides.

4 of 5 No sensor lag Thursday, April 30, 2026
Reviewer: Andrew Holloway, Infrastructure Consultant from Dallas, TX
After repeated servicing issues with older chrome touchless faucets that developed erratic infrared timing and premature solenoid wear, we transitioned several office and transportation facilities to the Rio Chromebetween 2021 and 2024.The faucet maintained excellent operational consistency during long-term commercial usage. Infrared detection remained stable, and the chrome-plated brass body resisted spotting and finish dulling far better than earlier fixtures.A technical benefit we noticed was the reliability of the flow-control calibration across installations, which helped standardize water delivery performance between facilities.
