✥ Sensor Calibration Procedure? +
Complete commissioning after the basin, countertop and surrounding fixtures are installed. The micro-computer controlled infrared system self-adjusts its optimum detection zone according to lavatory color and geometry, while the sensing field can also be adjusted where required.
◇ Hydraulic Checks During Installation? +
Flush the water supply before final connection, inspect the built-in strainer and verify stable dynamic pressure before commissioning the electronic solenoid assembly. Confirm all fittings and hoses are securely connected.
◯ Flow Rate Verification? +
The faucet is specified with a 2.2 GPM standard mesh aerator. If discharge becomes restricted, inspect the aerator, built-in strainer and available dynamic pressure before troubleshooting the electronic valve.
↻ Automatic Shutoff Operation? +
The electronic control incorporates a factory-set approximately 30-second automatic shutoff that can be adjusted. A separate anti-vandal function limits continuous operation to approximately 60 seconds.

After years of maintaining touchless faucets that frequently developed sensor instability, false activations, and finish deterioration in high-traffic public restrooms, we upgraded several municipal and healthcare facilities to BathSelect Matte Black faucet between 2022 and 2024.The improvement in long-term operational reliability was immediately noticeable. The infrared AI smart-chip maintained accurate hand detection without excessive triggering, while the adjustable auto shutoff timing remained stable even during continuous daily usage. The solid brass vandal-resistant body, sealed solenoid enclosure, and AC/DC hybrid power configuration also handled moisture-heavy commercial environments far better than many earlier sensor systems we had serviced.What stood out most from a maintenance standpoint was the consistency across installations. Sensor calibration rarely required adjustment, battery efficiency remained dependable, and the matte black finish resisted spotting, corrosion, and coating wear despite aggressive cleaning schedules. We installed 18 units of matte black touchless faucets across two office renovations in 2021. By 2026, performance has remained stable with low failure rates and consistent day-to-day operation. Infrared activation is reliable across units, although a later service batch showed slightly different shutoff timing compared to earlier installs. Finish wear has been minimal, limited to light rub points, and the brass body continues to hold up well under heavy daily traffic. To maintain uniform sensor response, we now keep the same-batch units aligned across all restrooms.
