Commission the infrared sensor after the faucet, basin and surrounding accessories are completely installed. Verify that the sensing field activates only when hands enter the intended wash zone and does not respond to surrounding reflective surfaces.

◇ Hydraulic Checks During Installation? +

Flush the supply piping before making the final faucet connection. Confirm secure supply fittings, stable inlet pressure and an unrestricted water path before commissioning the electronic valve.

◯ How Should Flow Be Verified? +

Activate the faucet repeatedly after installation and verify stable discharge across the basin. Restricted or irregular flow should prompt inspection of the outlet, supply connections and upstream water path before electronic components are serviced.

Following multiple executive office restroom upgrades completed between 2022 and 2024, we installed 13 units of the Salina Sink Faucet after earlier touchless systems repeatedly developed false triggering near reflective basin surfaces. As of 2026, the faucets continue to perform reliably with very few maintenance interventions.The matte finish maintained excellent resistance against fingerprints and chemical-cleaning exposure, while infrared responsiveness remained highly stable during continuous operation. Water delivery also stayed controlled without excessive splashback or uneven stream dispersion.From a technical operations standpoint, sensing consistency remained highly uniform across installations with varying countertop materials and basin configurations. Only minor commissioning adjustments were required during initial setup.
