The homeowner originally planned to install a basic exposed shower system because they assumed every traditional design would perform similarly. Before construction began, I reviewed valve construction, internal flow path, and long-term serviceability with them, explaining why premium engineering usually outlasts decorative appeal alone. Twenty-three months after commissioning, I returned to evaluate another plumbing upgrade and inspected the shower again. The cross handles still rotate with excellent precision, temperature transitions remain exceptionally stable, and the rainfall head distributes water evenly across the entire spray pattern. Most importantly, there have been no cartridge replacements, leaks, finish deterioration, or service calls since installation, validating the original specification decision.
