Plato Automatic Commercial Sensor Faucet Product Description

The Plato is a motion electronically controlled faucets eliminate the need to touch or turn handles and the temperature and flow rate can be pre-set. Through the use of sensor beams the automatic faucet determines when an object is in front of it and automatically turns on the faucet. Since there is nothing to touch and nothing to reach for, an automatic faucet eliminates all of that cleaning and disinfecting that you do to try to maintain a hygienic surface. Sensor Activated Faucet Special Features: Intelligent: with its micro-computer controlling its action, the faucet will self adjust its best detection zone as per the color and shape of lavatory Low power consumption: 4AA alkaline batteries can be used for 2 years at 200 cycles a day. Convenient to maintain: Built-in strainer prevents sundries from entering the solenoid valve and the strainer is easy to clean. Commercial Motion Sensor Faucet; Engineered for high-use environments with precise activation, controlled water output, and durable continuous-duty construction.

Technical FAQs

Commercial infrared touchless faucet with vandal-resistant solid brass construction, adjustable sensing, AC/DC power and coordinated finish options.

✥ Sensor Calibration Procedure? +

Complete sensor commissioning after the basin, countertop and surrounding surfaces are installed. The factory sensing position is approximately 4 to 5 inches and may be adjusted to coordinate with the final lavatory geometry.

◇ Hydraulic Checks During Installation? +

Flush the supply piping before final connection, verify the DN15 inlet and outlet connections and inspect the built-in strainer and 50-mesh particle filter before commissioning the electronic valve.

◯ Flow Rate Verification? +

The standard mesh aerator is specified at approximately 2.2 GPM. If water delivery becomes restricted, inspect the aerator, particle filtration, dynamic inlet pressure and supply connections.

↻ Continuous Water Flow Diagnostics? +

Clean the infrared sensor area, remove reflective objects from the sensing field and inspect the 6-volt magnet-latching solenoid for debris or incomplete seating. Maximum continuous operation is approximately 60 seconds.

⌁ Sensor Detection Range? +

The active infrared neck-mounted sensor uses digital microprocessor control with an adjustable range of approximately 2 to 6 inches. BathSelect also lists a factory reference around 4 to 5 inches.

⌂ Operating Water Pressure? +

BathSelect specifies approximately 10 to 125 PSI in the primary product information. Extended technical data also identifies approximately 1 to 100 PSI working pressure.

⚡ Power Supply Options? +

The Plato sensor system supports four AA alkaline batteries or an AC adapter. Product documentation also identifies AC110V and DC6V operation for new-build and retrofit commercial installations.

⌕ Routine Maintenance Requirements? +

Periodically clean the infrared sensor and aerator, inspect the built-in strainer and 50-mesh filter, check battery condition and verify reliable solenoid opening and complete automatic shutoff.

Operational Guesswork Removed	Saturday, July 25, 2026
Reviewer: Logan Montgomery, Analyst from Fargo, ND

Before replacing our aging fixtures, maintenance technicians often struggled to predict which restroom would require attention next. Since these faucets entered service, dependable operation has removed that uncertainty, allowing inspections to follow an organized maintenance schedule.

Sensor Precision	Saturday, May 2, 2026
Reviewer: Victoria Harper, Infrastructure Consultant from Seattle, WA

After several airport restroom retrofit projects exposed reliability problems with older commercial faucets, we installed 18 units of the Plato Sensor Faucet between 2023 and 2025 across high-traffic facilities. As of 2026, the units continue to perform consistently with very few maintenance interventions required. The brushed nickel finish resisted spotting and chemical-cleaning exposure substantially better than previous public-use fixtures, while infrared responsiveness remained highly accurate during continuous high-cycle operation. Water delivery also remained smooth without irregular stream interruption. From a technical servicing perspective, sensor calibration and valve timing remained highly predictable across all installation environments. Minor adjustments were required during commissioning, but no recurring calibration drift has been observed.
