BathSelect Hands-Free Touchless Faucet & Automatic Soap Dispenser FAQ
Independent IR Detection, Sensor Alignment & Automatic Soap Delivery
This commercial wash-station set coordinates infrared-controlled water flow with automatic soap dispensing for fully touch-free faucet and soap operation.
How do the faucet and soap dispenser avoid triggering each other?
The two fixtures use independent infrared detection fields. During installation, their sensor centerlines should be coordinated so the sensing zones do not intersect, helping prevent unintended water or soap activation.
What happens when hands are removed from beneath the faucet?
The proximity sensor detects when the user leaves the active zone and automatically closes the water-control valve, limiting unattended flow without requiring the user to touch the faucet body.
Does the automatic soap dispenser require priming before first use?
Yes. After the reservoir is filled, the pump should be primed until soap reaches and exits the dispensing spout. Filling the internal delivery path before service supports consistent sensor-activated dosing from the first operating cycle.
Why should the faucet and dispenser spouts be carefully aligned over the basin?
Proper alignment separates the infrared sensing fields while placing both dispensing points within an intuitive handwashing area. It also helps prevent cross-activation caused by intersecting sensor centerlines or nearby reflective surfaces.
