Three operating modes, LED lighting, and concealed thermostatic controls sounded overwhelming to the homeowners during our first planning meeting. Rather than simplifying the specification, we focused on how the interface was actually intended to be used every day. That decision proved worthwhile. I recently photographed the completed residence for publication, and the owners demonstrated each shower mode without pausing to think about the controls. Everything felt natural, responsive, and remarkably refined. The greatest compliment came from them, not me—they admitted the technology disappeared into everyday life because it never demanded attention after installation.
