✥ How Does the Sensor Self-Calibration Work? +
The microcomputer-controlled infrared system evaluates the color and geometry of the installed lavatory and automatically adjusts its optimum detection zone. Complete final commissioning after the faucet, basin, countertop and soap dispenser are installed.
◇ What Is the Factory Detection Zone? +
BathSelect specifies a factory detection zone of approximately 25 cm or 10 inches, while normal field operation is adjustable around 4 to 5 inches from the sensor. Final adjustment should minimize reflective or pass-by activation.
◯ How Are Faucet and Soap Sensors Coordinated? +
The faucet and automatic soap dispenser use independent infrared sensing so water and soap activate only when hands enter their intended detection zones. Commission both sensors after installation to prevent cross-triggering between the two fixtures.
↻ How Does the Automatic Shutoff Operate? +
The faucet is factory configured with an approximately 30-second automatic shutoff that can be adjusted. This limits prolonged unattended water flow if an object remains continuously inside the infrared sensing field.
⌁ What Water Pressure Range Is Supported? +
The system is specified for approximately 10 to 125 PSI, with extended technical data also listing 0.05 to 0.7 MPa. Flush the supply before connection and verify stable dynamic pressure before commissioning.

Romo makes the strongest case when the faucet and soap dispenser are treated as a coordinated handwashing station rather than two separate products. Brushed nickel keeps both components visually consistent while remaining practical for frequent cleaning. Operationally, soap dosage, refill access, water trajectory, and the two sensing zones should all be tested together so users move naturally from dispensing to rinsing without cross-activation. That commissioning takes a little more attention, but the resulting workflow is cleaner, easier to understand, and better suited to repeat installations across commercial properties.
