When construction costs unexpectedly increased midway through this project, several premium plumbing fixtures were reviewed for possible substitution. I argued against replacing this thermostatic shower because the savings would have been relatively small compared with the potential reduction in long-term quality. Looking back, that decision proved worthwhile. The installation required no corrective work, final commissioning was completed on schedule, and the homeowners have enjoyed dependable operation ever since. Nearly two years later, there have been no maintenance invoices, no cartridge replacements, and no finish-related concerns, validating our decision to protect the original specification.
