Obsidian Edge is technically convincing because the dramatic black crystal is attached to a fairly straightforward faucet architecture. BathSelect specifies solid brass with textured crystal glass, single-hole deck mounting, single-handle mixing, a ceramic-disc cartridge rated beyond 500,000 cycles, G1/2 connections, and an integrated anti-splash aerator delivering roughly 5–7 L/min at 3 bar. BathSelect That is a sensible foundation beneath such a visually assertive finish. The chrome-and-black contrast should work particularly well against pale stone, where the crystal can provide definition without requiring a completely black faucet. I would keep abrasive cleaners away from both surfaces and maintain the crystal routinely. For design-led bathrooms, this achieves drama without making everyday operation remotely complicated.

Obsidian became the finishing element our restaurant designer had been searching for after several conventional black fixtures made the vanity feel unfinished. The crystal treatment adds depth under low evening lighting and gives the darker palette more dimension than a standard matte surface. A completed restroom was reviewed during soft opening before ownership committed to the second location. Customer response has been excellent, and the fixture photographs particularly well. It delivers drama appropriate to the venue without requiring the entire room to become decorative.
