Optimum Stability May 4, 2026 Reviewer: Cameron Reeves, Plumbing Advisor from Scottsdale, AZ   Following several hospitality restroom modernization projects where matte black sensor faucets repeatedly experienced coating deterioration and unstable infrared timing, we upgraded multiple properties to the Hugo Matte Black between 2023 and 2025.The faucet delivered a significantly more refined long-term performance profile. Infrared activation remained highly responsive during continuous guest usage, while the matte black and oil-rubbed bronze finish combination resisted spotting, oxidation, and cleaning-related wear exceptionally well.One technical improvement we observed during extended operation was the stability of the infrared sensing field near reflective stone countertops and mirrored backsplashes. Earlier decorative sensor faucets frequently required recalibration in these environments, but this unit maintained highly consistent responsiveness throughout operation.
