5 of 5 Perfect Combination Accessibility and Luxury June 1, 2026
Reviewer: Pete Egan from Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
As a property owner helping my aging parents remodel their primary bathroom, finding a walk-in tub that felt both safe and luxurious was incredibly important. After researching several premium walk-in bathtub options, we chose the BathSelect Rio High Glass Door Walk-in Tub Set, and it has exceeded our expectations in every category.

The first thing that stood out was the modern glass-door design. Most walk-in tubs on the market tend to look overly clinical, but the Rio model feels like a true luxury bathroom centerpiece. The glossy white acrylic finish and sleek freestanding appearance immediately elevated the entire space.

From a usability standpoint, the ultra-low step-in entry has made a huge difference. My father had become increasingly uncomfortable stepping over a traditional bathtub wall, and the Rio completely eliminated that concern. The entry and exit process feels secure, and the high glass door seals tightly without any leakage issues.

The hydrotherapy body jets are surprisingly powerful and provide a relaxing massage after long days. The included hand shower and mixer valve make daily use convenient, while the ergonomic seating position allows for comfortable soaking sessions. What impressed us most was how quickly the drainage system removes water, allowing users to exit safely without long waiting periods.

Installation was straightforward compared to other walk-in tub systems we evaluated because the unit comes as a complete package. The construction feels solid, the acrylic shell is substantial, and every component gives the impression of a commercial-grade product built for long-term reliability.

After several months of use, this has become one of the best investments we have made in our home. It provides the safety and accessibility benefits we needed while delivering the comfort and spa-like relaxation we wanted. For homeowners planning aging-in-place upgrades, luxury bathroom renovations, or mobility-friendly remodeling projects, the BathSelect Rio Walk-In Tub is an outstanding choice that combines safety, performance, and high-end design exceptionally well.

5 of 5 Reliable Over Earlier Walk-In Tub April 16, 2026
Reviewer: Peyton Miles, Urban Planner from Seattle, WA
We installed 14 units of BST10005 Rio walk-in tubs across accessibility-focused residential projects between 2021 and 2023. By 2026, the units continue to perform reliably with only minor drain calibration and seal maintenance required. Previous walk-in tub brands we used often developed sealing issues, slower drainage, and finish wear over time. The Rio system solved many of these problems with better door sealing, faster drainage, and more consistent hydrotherapy performance. The reinforced acrylic shell and tempered glass enclosure have maintained structural integrity under daily use. Drain and jet systems also remained mechanically consistent across multiple installations. Overall durability has remained strong, and maintenance requirements have been noticeably lower compared to earlier systems.

4 of 5 Reliable Hydro Entry January 7, 2026
Reviewer: Northbridge Contracting Group from New York, NY, U.S.
As a senior contractor, we had an accessibility retrofit where residents struggled with high tub walls. This AC-powered walk-in unit solved it; the hand shower and jet circulation stayed steady across roughly 45-80 psi, and the brass valve hardware feels dependable. The acrylic shell presents better than thin plated budget tubs.

5 of 5 Solid Access January 3, 2026
Reviewer: Northline Builders from Phoenix, AZ
For the Rio High installation, as a remodeling contractor, I liked the low threshold, rigid shell, and even jet response during fill testing. Support emailed the rough-in sheet same day; one call resolved calibration cleanly. Packing was excellent and damage free. It outperformed the brand we used last year. I would specify it again.

5 of 5 I Was Concerned About the Price April 17, 2024
Reviewer: Ron Tompkins from Baltimore, MD, USA
As a residential remodeling contractor specializing in accessibility upgrades, I've installed and evaluated numerous walk-in tubs over the years. When a client requested the BathSelect Rio High Glass Door Walk-In Tub, I initially questioned whether the premium price point would translate into a noticeably better experience than other models we've used.

After installation and several months of client feedback, I can confidently say that my concerns were largely unfounded.

My biggest hesitation was the glass-door design. Many glass-door systems look impressive in product photos but can introduce concerns about durability, sealing performance, and long-term maintenance. Fortunately, the Rio proved to be exceptionally well engineered. The door feels solid, closes securely, and has remained leak-free throughout daily use.

The second concern was whether the hydrotherapy system would deliver meaningful performance or simply serve as a marketing feature. The body jets exceeded expectations, providing a noticeably stronger and more therapeutic massage experience than many competing walk-in tubs in the same category.

What truly separates this model is its ability to combine accessibility with luxury aesthetics. Most walk-in tubs prioritize function while sacrificing design. The Rio manages to provide a low-threshold entry, comfortable seating, and safety-focused bathing while still looking like a high-end spa fixture rather than medical equipment.

If I had one criticism, it would be that this is not an entry-level product. Homeowners focused solely on budget may find less expensive alternatives. However, after evaluating the construction quality, comfort, ease of use, and overall user satisfaction, it becomes clear where the investment is going.

Based on my professional experience and my client's ongoing feedback, the BathSelect Rio has delivered reliability, comfort, and accessibility. I can say it  genuinely justified the premium - both in performance and design.
