I Was Concerned About the Price |

As a residential remodeling contractor specializing in accessibility upgrades, I've installed and evaluated numerous walk-in tubs over the years. When a client requested the BathSelect Rio High Glass Door Walk-In Tub, I initially questioned whether the premium price point would translate into a noticeably better experience than other models we've used.
After installation and several months of client feedback, I can confidently say that my concerns were largely unfounded.
My biggest hesitation was the glass-door design. Many glass-door systems look impressive in product photos but can introduce concerns about durability, sealing performance, and long-term maintenance. Fortunately, the Rio proved to be exceptionally well engineered. The door feels solid, closes securely, and has remained leak-free throughout daily use.
The second concern was whether the hydrotherapy system would deliver meaningful performance or simply serve as a marketing feature. The body jets exceeded expectations, providing a noticeably stronger and more therapeutic massage experience than many competing walk-in tubs in the same category.
What truly separates this model is its ability to combine accessibility with luxury aesthetics. Most walk-in tubs prioritize function while sacrificing design. The Rio manages to provide a low-threshold entry, comfortable seating, and safety-focused bathing while still looking like a high-end spa fixture rather than medical equipment.
If I had one criticism, it would be that this is not an entry-level product. Homeowners focused solely on budget may find less expensive alternatives. However, after evaluating the construction quality, comfort, ease of use, and overall user satisfaction, it becomes clear where the investment is going.
Based on my professional experience and my client's ongoing feedback, the BathSelect Rio has delivered reliability, comfort, and accessibility. I can say it genuinely justified the premium - both in performance and design.
