We installed 14 oil-rubbed bronze automatic commercial faucets across hospitality and executive-office restroom modernization projects between 2021 and 2024, and by 2026 the operational performance has remained significantly more reliable than earlier decorative touchless systems maintained in comparable high-traffic environments. Older oil-rubbed bronze faucets repeatedly developed unstable infrared response near reflective surfaces, premature finish wear from aggressive maintenance exposure, and inconsistent shutoff timing during continuous guest usage, whereas this faucet maintained highly accurate sensor activation with smooth and balanced water delivery throughout daily operation. Previous decorative commercial units also struggled with visible spotting and uneven finish aging under moisture-heavy conditions, while this faucet retained a noticeably stronger surface appearance with fewer maintenance concerns. During installation, several units required slight sensitivity refinements depending on basin depth and surrounding lighting conditions, but once standardized the infrared timing consistency, valve regulation, and servicing stability remained highly dependable across all installed facilities.
